Pre-Arrangements
"One of the most
considerate things you can do
for your family"
Interested in pre-arranging
or pre-financing?
Pre-planning of
funeral services is a popular idea as well as a sound plan for many reasons. An
individual or couple may want to save their loved ones from the emotional strain
that accompanies major decision making during time of loss. Others may not have
relatives near by to handle the sometimes immediate decisions that need to be
made at the time death occurs. And finally, some may just desire the peace of
mind of knowing that their arrangements will be carried out in accordance to
their specific design.
We hope the following information provides the answers to
most of your questions. We obviously can't determine all of the questions that
may arise, but we will answer the questions most commonly asked of us.
Can I make all of my
funeral arrangements through a funeral home?
Yes. Complete
arrangements, including professional services, casket, vault and urn selection,
cremation, church, floral, newspaper and cemetery coordination can be
accomplished through our funeral home.
Do I need to pay for
pre-arrangements?
No. Although
there are many benefits to pre-paying funeral arrangements, the most important
thing for you to do is to get your information and desires on file with the
funeral home.
Some of the benefits or pre-paying are as follows:
Beating inflation by freezing the cost of the funeral at today's prices
Relinquishing the financial burden from your family
Minimizing the mental and emotional stress of major decision making at the time of death
Ensuring the financial resources will be there when they are needed
If I decide to pre-pay, how does it work?
Payments are deposited directly into a bank or insurance company
Payments may be made in a lump sum or in flexible amounts determined by you
Are pre-arrangements a good
idea for both cremation and traditional burial?
Yes. All of the decision making and information gathering
involved in a traditional burial are involved in a cremation. Although cremation
allows for the most simple of arrangements, the only real difference between
cremation and a traditional burial is the final mode of disposition. Cremation,
though usually not thought of in this sense, can most certainly allow for a
viewing or funeral with the body present and cremation taking place after the
ceremonies.
Pre-planning is a simple matter to arrange and one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your family. Like a will, pre-planning gives you the assurance that your final wishes will be carried out the way you want them. It protects your estate from unnecessary financial outlay. It minimizes conflict among you survivors.
And it helps to protect them
both emotionally and financially,
at a time when they need that protection.
